HOW SHOULD ARMAMENTS BE CARRIED?

This page refers to the enquiry conducted by the Commonwealth Government into a proposed relocation of a significant armaments depot into an environmentally sensitive location in Victoria.

Balance Research asked the enquiry panel to recommend, if this depot were to be built, that its design should not preclude the later addition of rail transport, as it seems possible that in time, rail may again be preferred over road for movement of dangerous goods.

In the end, the project did not proceed.
